GW fell to a narrow 2–1 defeat against Deal in a fiercely contested GW3 clash.

Deal started the stronger of the two sides, converting two well-worked short corners within the opening ten minutes to take an early lead. Despite the setback, GW responded brilliantly, finding the net soon after to bring the game back to 2–1 and regain momentum.

The second half was all GW. Wave after wave of attacking pressure saw countless chances created, but Deal’s defence held firm. Their goalkeeper produced a string of outstanding saves to deny the equaliser, frustrating GW right up to the final whistle.

It was a tough result to take after such a dominant second-half display, but plenty of positives can be drawn from the performance as GW look ahead to their next fixture.
