The men's 1st XI continued to progress this season, with their first home points of the year coming from a 3-2 win against Sevenoaks . GWHC were the pas long as a proverbial big bad wolf in the first half: they huffed, they puffed, but they could not manage to break down the Sevenoaks defence. Sevenoaks however performed the classic snatch and grab in the first half, as they converted their one and only shot on goal from a well taken short corner. GWHC equalised early in the second half through Jordan Laws, but the lead lasted as long as an ice cream in the Sahara as Sevenoaks retook the lead 2 minutes later. GWHC showed why the finished as high in the league as they did last year as a truly gritty second half resulted in a fantastic equaliser from Zak Rowland (MOTM) before Harry Yeates scored his debut goal from team and club securing the winner with 4 minutes to go.
